I just saw Hubert and was wondering if there are more. There is also Thales intervening in chapter 9 of course. And before it's posted, yes I know about the dev interview and Edelgard, although it isn't actually in the game.

[FE5 English] Version 1.04 of Lil' Manster has been released!

    Posted: 15 May 2020 10:20 AM PDT

    SF thread: https://forums.serenesforest.net/index.php?/topic/90189-fe5-lil-manster-pe-based-english-translation-translations-to-es-fr-de-it-tr/

No rest for the wicked. We're back at it with another patch update.

Soon after 1.03 was published, Flasuban joined in, offering fonts.

Soon after that, Zane released a whole suite of quality-of-life additions for FE5.

And then we found a bunch more things in the script that needed addressing, some of which we had been putting off since the beginning.

Then, finally, we got a sweet logo and banner, and just like that, we got a new release ready to go!

    • FONTS! For dialogue, for menus, and for all your M/N/W distinction needs.
    • REVISIONS! Inconsistencies, poor localization choices, Kempf, and Shinto(?).
    • QOL! Equipped items previews, Talk indicators, HP Bars, and much more.
    • GLITTER! Because it's nice having a visual identity. It's the true MVP of the Munster escape, the Light Brand.

    • BY THEIR POWERS COMBINED... it's another version of the patch.

For more details, check out my latest post in the SF forum thread, or read the Changelog in the zip file.

Does the game ever comment on the fact that Lysithia and Lorenz share a Crest?

    Posted: 15 May 2020 03:51 PM PDT

I seem to recall their support really didn't have anything related to their Crests, mostly talking about the alliance. I was surprised when I got Lorenz's hero relic, that it worked on Lysithia because she bears the Major Crest of Gloucester.

Of course, I know the story reason for Lysithia having two crests, I was just wondering if anyone in the game remarked on the two sharing that crest. I'm not even sure if characters are aware of each other's crests at all, to be honest. I feel like he would have mentioned it, given his personality. And I wonder why Gloucester was chosen for her second crest.

In the event of an eventual Sacred Stones remake, what are some things you’d like to see implemented or improved?

    Posted: 15 May 2020 03:14 PM PDT

I've always really loved FE8 and the setting of Magvel, and while it's certainly not at the top of the list for next FE remake (FE4 and FE6/7 probably hold that title) I would eventually love to get an Echoes version of Sacred Stones with voice acting and animated cutscenes.

I generally like the maps in Sacred Stones, but I wouldn't want them to be 1:1 recreations like on SoV either. Only one I can specifically point to and say "fix it" right now is the ghost ship.

Maybe some unit rebalancing—Marisa, for instance, is almost impossible to use without grinding because she joins on par with base Joshua five chapters after him. Myrrh only has 50 attacks before becoming useless. The trainees are... annoying, at least without grinding.

Something along the lines of FE10's multiple clears offering new story elements to encourage replayability would be nice. I normally hate this trope but maybe something like a "golden ending" after clearing Eirika and Ephraim's routes that lets you actually save Lyon and use him for the rest of the game, ala Sephiran in FE10. I'd personally enjoy seeing an Innes campaign with him as the main lord, unlikely though it may be.

Properly translated dialogue. I suppose it ties in with obvious stuff like revamping the story a little too, but like... the original FE8 mistranslation of a SINGLE LINE in the Eirika and Ephraim support spawned 15 years of incest jokes. Disgusting.

Fully voiced supports, please. FE8 has some of the best supports and hearing them voices would be fantastic. I would also prefer the old style of just having the character portraits talking and changing expression than Three Houses' incredibly awkward animation loops. Fully well-animated supports or supports featuring images of the events discussed would be preferred, but I'm not putting that much faith in IS.

Maybe more supports too! Ephraim and Innes not having some kind of resolution to their rivalry (and Ephraim barely commenting on it outside of his Tana support) just felt odd.

Keep class mastery skills out (aside from ones like Pierce that were already in FE8), but introducing personal skills to the units could diversify unit performances. Like, Joshua's personal skill could be based on FE9/10 Gamble, letting him sacrifice hit rate for Crit chance (and maybe a Fates killer-weapon-esque 4x damage bonus) as befitting his main character quirk, whereas fellow myrmidon/swordmaster Marisa's could lower the hit rate of nearby enemy units after she defeats one in combat, representing her feared reputation. Combined with their differences in stats and growths, this turns Joshua into a single target destroyer, and Marisa into an actual dodge tank. Or imagine Wary Fighter Gilliam in chapter 1—an early game Armor Knight that can actually tank by preventing doubles! That could leave Quick Riposte for someone like Duessel or Garcia, season warriors who would logically know how to account for their shortcomings. If they're powerful enough to really make a difference in same class unit performance, that also prevents them from being rendered useless later on in the game. Enemy bosses can come packing personal skills too. Imagine Valter with something like FE10 Daunt, or Caellach with Nihil.

Can't believe I'm about to say this, but nerf Seth. It should not be easier to solo an entire game with one unit than it is to actually play it normally. Maybe make his personal skill something like "Fresh Wound" that either gradually debuffs his stats more times he engages in combat repeatedly (like Fates Silver weapons) or acts as a reverse aptitude that lowers all his growths. Both could properly reference him getting stabbed by Valter in the prologue. It can go away after a certain point in the story (maybe after the twins promote) and get replaced with something better so he's not worthless later, but still.

Those are just a few ideas off the top of my head though. What are some things you all would like to see potentially implemented?

EDIT: I almost forgot about Turnwheel... I suppose I wouldn't be against its inclusion, but only if it has more limited uses than in SoV/3H. Like, you can't go back more than 5 turns and you only have about as many uses by endgame, Yo prevent it from becoming a crutch mechanic that encourages trial and error gameplay. It can be justified as a power tied to the lords' Lunar/Solar Braces, and it can be introduced a few chapters in after Eirika gets hers back from Colm.
