    Shadows of Valentia Discussion Series - Emma: Friendly Flier

    Today, we are discussing Emma.

    Emma is a playable character in Shadows of Valentia, and is the one of the Cipher OCs.

    Emma is part of a travelling group, and upon reaching Valentia, she and Randal got seperated from their group. Upon being attacked by bandits, she realises that they're outnumbered and goes to seek help, and encounters Alm or Celica's army.

    After defeating the bandits, Emma and Randal decide to join the rescusing party, as a thanks for the help, and also ask to be guided during their stay in Valentia. She is shown to admire the Pegasus sisters Est, Catria and Palla, as she is aware of the triangle attack and is training to develop her own technique, named "solo triangle attack".

    Who would you say is the worst flier in the franchise?

    Title says it all. If the character can fly over things, they count (so the hawks, ravens, and herons count).

    My vote is PoR Ulki. The hawks already suck, but Ulki is just worse Janaff because he starts the battle untransformed. He's pretty much the only flier in the game that I'd say is not worth using at all (Janaff can at least be used in chapter 19 to convince Naesala to leave, and he's still really bad. But what's your opinion?

    Fire Emblem GBA is Amazing

    I was really surprised when I played Fire Emblem GBA. I've tried getting into the series before but none of the other games I've played have really clicked with me. The first FE game I played was Heros (don't kill me) and it got me interested enough to look into the rest of the series. About a year ago, I found Echos on sale and played it; the story was interesting but the difficulty felt extremely unfair against the player (I played normal difficulty with no permadeath). I never beat Echos but I did get some enjoyment from the game. Skip to about a week ago, I was looking for games to get for my DS lite and looked into Fire Emblem GBA. I heavily preferred the sprite art to 3D models and GBA didn't have the dungeons from Echos so I decided the give the series a second chance, and I am extremely glad that I did. GBA fixed most problems I had with Echos, mainly the difficulty and the dungeons, and it easily became my favorite GBA game. Currently, I haven't beaten GBA yet but I'm extremely close to the end. I'm thinking of playing another FE game after I beat GBA, Thracia 776 seems popular but I don't think there's an official English release of it. If anyone has some reccomendations for what game I should play next, I would really appreciate it. Edit: I played the GBA game that was titled "Fire Emblem" in NA.
