    Hi, I'm back from a mini hiatus. Today we're showing love and appreciation to the cavaliers in Fire Emblem.

    The question is simple: who is your favourite cavalier in Fire Emblem? (EDIT: including sword/lance/axe knights from the earlier games!)

    We're talking Christmas cavaliers, cavaliers with your main lord from the beginning and any cavaliers that aren't promoted at their join time. I've always had a soft spot for Oscar, Sain and Stahl myself.

    We'll do prepromoted cavs soon!

    How much class diversity is needed in a game like Fire Emblem

    Hey there,

    I've been considering working on a Fire Emblem Inspired turn-based Strategy RPG and I've been thinking:

    How many classes do you think would you feel are necessary to the game?

    Do you think that the Myrmidon/Mercenary classes are necessary distinctions or are they somewhat redundant barring the Hero getting access to axes?

    Do Wyvern Riders completely outclass Pegasus knights meaning you could change early Pegasus knights into the wyvern riders but keep their stats the same, or is there an importance with a visual or world building distinction that makes having both fliers be necessary?

    Is there a duo you wish had an ending together? Or a certain ending you're just not a fan of? Or maybe you just wish there was a little more to an ending? Let's get our creativity flowing and write some character endings! The only rule is to enjoy yourself!

    Examples:

    Leo, Sorcerous Prince & Felicia, Maid Mayhem -

    Leo sacrificed much for Nohr, leading the effort to spread King Xander's radical new policies. With her husband's support and keen observations, Felicia grew to be one of Nohr's finest maids, teaching and inspiring the next generation of servants. It's uncertain if Leo's hiring of servants was to give Felicia a break, or a lingering fear of a potential cuttlery calamity.

    Ogier, The Little Hero & Larum, Sprightly Dancer -

    Ogier continued to travel the world as a mercenary. Tales spread throughout the continent of a powerful hero of small stature, always accompanied by a spunky dancer who sparked joy with her dances and trouble with her tongue.

    Ogier continued to travel the world as a mercenary. Tales spread throughout the continent of the Little Hero. Its said that when there was a lull in his exploits, he had returned to his wife Gwendolyn, the first female captain of the Ostian Army. The two would walk the streets of Ostia every day they were together.

    Hector, General of Ostia & Serra, Outspoken Cleric i'm sorry i had to-

    Hector succeeded his brother as the marquess of Ostia, but the pain of his brother's death weighed heavily on him. His people were surprised by the choice of Serra for a wife, and further so by her contributions. She frequently incited reformations, including the demand to the Lycian League for further fundings to local orphanages. Serra's sweet stubbornness made for potent persuasion among the marquesses to a concerning degree. Yet when it was just Hector and his wife, rumors say the two were always candid with each other, and thanks to Serra's constant prodding and perturbing, he found comfort and made for an enlightened leader. They have a daughter named Lilina, who inherited her mother's magic and charm.

    I love the art, the music and the characters. Overall I'm enjoying it, but there's something that bothers me. That something is the Dread Fighter class. What the heck? Why is it sooooo broken? I literally could finish the game only with 2 or 3 of them (with some healer). Furthermore, aesthetically speaking, it doesn't fit with the game's setting. I don't get why the developers would include such a class on this game.
