    Hey folks, here's a non-standard announcement from your friendly neighbourhood internet janitors.

    Recently, all the cool kids on /r/fireemblem have been partaking in this new trend called "go back through month-old threads and report every single comment that even dares to mention Edelgard as spam". This has happened more than once, though the reason I'm bringing it up is that yet again, it's happening right now, as we speak, in the latest installment of this exciting drama series.

    Now, I make no claims about how uncool this course of action may or may not be. Far be it from me to suggest that this is dumb. But here's a fun list of stuff that happens when you do that:

    1. We put one poor unfortunate mod, whose name may or may not be LaqOfInterest, on modqueue duty, mashing the Approve button on all the comments that have been maliciously marked as spam. This takes slightly less time than the time it takes you to go through and report every single comment in these month-old threads, so hey, net win on our part, I guess.

    2. We report the abusive reports to the admins, who then do two things: (a) They remove your reporting privileges, and (b) they tell us the usernames of everyone who reported the comments that we submitted as examples, so that we can ban you from the sub in addition to revoking your reporting privileges. So while we want to stress that anonymity is generally something you're entitled to when using the report function, it stops applying when you report literally hundreds of comments in a single hour.

    3. While stuck on modqueue duty, LaqOfInterest the designated modqueue-duty-mod starts to ponder whether or not you're pro-Edelgard or anti-Edelgard. Because, honestly, I can't even tell. You people report everything that even so much as mentions Edelgard. How am I supposed to explain to the admins that you're reporting every comment that says something negative about a character you like, or every comment that says something positive about a character you dislike, when your troll reports can't even be consistent!?

    Anyway, all that to say, please stop it before you get banned.

    Please address all complaints about this announcement in the form of a free-form report of this post.

    Alright alright guys. I have got my analysis skills here and Imm gonna tell you why Edelgard is the MOST EVIL villain in ALL of FIRE EMBLEM

    1. Edelgard wears red. Bam. We all know red is bad and blue is good and yellow is for whatever Claude is! The colors are indicative of what morals someone has.

    2. She is a girl, who has white hair! She's basically Aversa 2.0 but with a different outfit ! Just look at how pale white that hair is! I bet she's a kitten-eating. soul-stealing, power-hungry Grimleal too!

    3. Her crown has ram horns on it. Satanist illumanti CONFIRMED! Just look at her menacing fangs soaked in the blood of all those children she killed! She probably even drank their blood and gave ghastly laugh while doing so!

    4. She doesn't follow Church teachings and doesn't have faith in the goddess. Unbelievable! She's gotta repent for her sins ASAP! Without religion we can't have a moral society! CHECKMATE Atheists!

    5. She left me on seen when I texted her 20 times, never replied, and refuses to debate me on a public stage. Wtf? Too scared Edie?

    6. She's a decent looking female. I'm not. She's literally the opposite gender of me and that's why anyone likes her. It's just cuz she's a girl. I'm totally not sexist but I make posts about why females are soooo annoying and should NEVER lead anyone. Nobody would like a male Edelgard! Damn these females tryna stop us from going our own way.

    7. But remember, the most important part is that I, as an emotionally and rationally charged person, don't like what she did and/or disagree with what she says. This is an extremely INVASIVE personal attack that I can't forgive. That's it. This is why I need to tell everyone I HATE her. I think ______ is a much better character!!! 100% proof that Edelgard is literally Hitler! Have you even seen them in the same room together?

    See guys? I just DESTROYED your waifu with FACTS and LOGIC! Whatcha gon' do now, huh?
