Ancient Fodlan Elites: GBA battle sprites and portraits

Some of you might remember when I made the battle sprites. I have added portraits! These are all splices/recolors because I can't do full custom.

    https://preview.redd.it/2s7d31p5lhx51.png?width=1038&format=png&auto=webp&s=86fd1b86054466a9669f577c3278fa7d6550d825

As you can see, they don't all completely look like their descendants, this makes sense since it's a thousand year gap. I'd like to list some quick things I headcanoned about their personalities and appearances:

Blaiddyd: 6'3 and 200 pounds, gray hair and brown eyes, mopey and nonchalant attitude

Gautier: 6'3 and 203 pounds, red hair and green eyes, tough, sly, can be envious (Amazingly enough, his gingerness made it through all those generations.)

Riegan: 5'10 and 180 pounds, yellow hair and brown eyes, book smart, attracted to intelligence

Daphnel: 5'9 and 182 pounds, light brown hair and gray eyes, talented and slightly cocky

Goneril: 6'0 and 196 pounds, purplish brown hair and red eyes, slightly sexist meathead

Fraldarius: 5'4 and 150 pounds, light blue hair and blue eyes, fierce and stubborn yet loyal (Resting bitch face lol)

Dominic: 6'0 and 194 pounds, orange hair and yellow eyes, clumsy yet strong oaf (He says he got that scar from the Crusher Dragon. He got it from tripping over a log.)

Charon: 6'1 and 190 pounds, reddish brown hair and amber eyes, quiet, likes rain

Gloucester: 5'6 and 171 pounds, dark blue hair and green eyes, can be gullible, mostly keeps to himself

Lamine: 5'3 and 149 pounds, dark green hair and purple eyes, patient healer yet tricky

Maurice: 5'8 and 178 pounds, black hair and light blue eyes, gentle farmer who's smarter than he looks

Fire Emblem titles that work for other games in the series

    Posted: 05 Nov 2020 10:10 AM PST

Okay this started with me thinking about how many titles "Fire Emblem Awakening" is actually fitting for, but then I realized you could actually do so many more. Some of these are bigger stretches than others mind you.

Games that could be called Fire Emblem Awakening

Fire Emblem: Three Houses (Byleth to Sothis)
    Fire Emblem Fates (Dragon powers/Yato)
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and Mystery of the Emblem (Medeus resurrections)
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (Ashera's literal awakening)
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones (Fomortiis resurrection)
Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War (Loptous resurrection)

Games that could be called Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones

    Fire Emblem Awakening
Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem

Games that could be called Fire Emblem Fates

    Fire Emblem Three Houses
    Fire Emblem Awakening

Games that could be called Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade

    Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
    Fire Emblem Fates

Games that could be called Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War

    Fire Emblem Awakening
    Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade
(Okay these are more like Genealogy of the War but still)

Games that could be called Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

    Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright
Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War (Gen 1) - u/RaisonDetriment

There's probably more than that I'd imagine, what other title switches can you think of? I feel like you'd be very hard pressed to find games that work for Three Houses or especially Thracia 776 (other than a small part of FE4).

Are you supposed to be lower level than enemies in FE?

    Posted: 05 Nov 2020 02:03 PM PST

So I'm sort of new to the FE franchise, I've beaten 3H and am playing through The Blazing Blade on GBA. Something I've noticed is that my characters are consistently lower level than the enemies but are still doing fine. For example, Lyn is level 4 but is able to one round kill most axe wielding units up to around level 8, while still taking a fair bit of damage if she gets hit. The same applies to most of my other units that are able to double enemies and have weapon type advantage. In 3H I've noticed that being the same level as the enemy units leads to a lot of one shot kills but also taking little to no damage, meaning there seems to be minimal risk to same level combat. Are you supposed to be a slightly lower level than enemy units in fire emblem games, or am I just getting lucky in Blazing Blade?

What units do you bring to endgame in Conquest? - A poll/Discussion

    Posted: 05 Nov 2020 04:06 PM PST

I am interested in finding out what the most popular units are to bring to endgame in conquest so I made these polls. The first one includes all gen 1 units, and the second includes the children. Much appreciation to anyone who participates!

    Gen 2: https://www.strawpoll.me/21227126

If you want to start a discussion in the comments explaining your choices then that would be highly encouraged and appreciated.
