    I am ironmanning every FE on their highest difficulties, if applicable, consecutively. If I game over a single time, i have to restart from FE1.

    I haven't started yet, but i will make an update post every day.

    If these posts get enough traction i could stream it, but for the moment I am just playing them all on my 3ds(and i have dolphin for PoR/RD). I can just file transfer saves from 3ds to emu so the transition can be done at any time.

    Can't do three houses because i don't own a switch, and i am pretty sure that would be the hardest one. Maddening is so much more RNG based than any other FE, divine pulse is basically required and I'm not sure if i want to use turnwheels yet.

    I will probably lose on fe12. Other candidates are DB chapters, clash on maniac mode, and chapter 10 or 26 in conquest lunatic if i fuck up. Maybe i can also lose on fe11 chapter 1 if jagen gets unlucky enough lol.

    Should i be able to use aum/valkyria/revival shrines? Thoughts in the comments below.

    I'm not gonna count BBD in the event that zephiel dies before it is possible to reach him, and i won't do lunatic+ in awakening because it's mathematically impossible to win certain chapter 2 setups.

    For the record I have beaten all of these difficulties before, but some of them(namely 3h maddening and fe12 reverse lunatic) required many, many resets.

    Just finished Awakening for the first time in 2020 despite bashing it 5 years ago, here are my thoughts. (Spoilers)

    TLDR: I jumped on the Awakening hate bandwagon back in the day despite never playing it, overall I enjoyed it a lot. My favorite 3DS FE easily. Story and characters were a lot better than I expected. Ambush reinforcements are garbage but despite than the gameplay is fine but unbalanced and bland.

    Before I give my thoughts I think it's important to clarify my regrettable history with this game, I became a FE fan late 2015 and Fates was my first game. I was 14 at the time and due to the rather toxic fanbase with Fates initial launch I didn't want to admit I liked the whole dating sim thing with it being so hated by the vocal minority so being the easily impressionable teen I was I jumped on the whole "Awakening ruined the series" bla bla bla bandwagon despite me never even playing the older games lol. Time passed I am more capable of making my own opinions and sticking to them so recently I decided to play all the games after falling back in love with the series with 3 Houses.

    Sorry for the small tangent I just thought it would offer some unique context to a normal opinion post. Anyway, Awakening actually impressed me and I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. I'll start with the story.

    The story was quite good and was entertaining the whole way through. I really enjoyed the sort of inevitable future the whole game was doing, I was never quite sure if we were changing fate or following the same timeline as the ruined one and this culminated in a hype return of Basilio and the unveiling of the main characters scheme which was done sort of well I guess. The main problem I had was just how good of an ending happened? Awakening probably had the bleakest set up out of all FE games I've played and besides Emmeryn almost nothing was lost? unless i'm forgetting something. I would have preferred if the main character stayed dissapeared with his ending but I didn't expect him to with the obvious "it's a small chance but just maybe you'll live" stuff. One thing I despised was the choices that dont actually amount to anything in game like the "Let Lucina Kill You One" but I've seen so many of these in games i've become numb to them.

    Now onto characters, I was pleasantly surprised. I expected something similar to Fates but overall the cast is much better and feel less tied to their one gimmick albeit with some exceptions. The main character I was impressed with was Robin, he's easily the best avatar in the series he has a established personality and an entertaining one at that. His supports were really good compered to Corrin's and overall Robin was a great character (I guess that makes him a worse avatar though as he's more of a customisable character than an avatar) I also enjoyed the fact the whole game didn't resolve around him as hard as it did in Fates despite it would make way more sense if the whole game resolved around Robin with the whole Grima thing. Some other characters I enjoyed were Chrom, Gaius, Brady, Morgan (God I was expecting Kana Version 2.0 but Morgan is so much better), Owain, Henry, Tharja (Less obnoxiously about Robin as I expected, maybe I just only saw the better supports but I expected her to literally only talk about Robin based on what I saw online)

    Now onto gameplay, I'll keep this brief as my opinions arent anything new. Ambush spawns are horrible, they can be done well if properly telegraphed which Awakening does sometimes but primarily in the children paralouges the game just goes "fuck it" sometimes. Map design feels a bit bland and the overuse of route chapters kinda irked me. Especially with how broken your units are this made every chapter feel like a slog, there were some cool ones here and there though. I actually don't remember a single defence map in this game which is a shame because they're usually my favorite when done right. Child units are way to broken and lead to their parents being obsolete, seriously I loved using Cherche but Gerome pops out and boom within a few levels he has 70HP, 40 strength, 40 speed, 40 defence and still decent resistance. So I just benched Cherche to use one more unit. I actually like pair up more here than in Fates but I think if the stat bonuses were less insane and the extra attack was half damage like Fates and had like max 50% chance of activating it would be better.

    Oh yeah and the music slaps

    Anyone curious this is how I would rate the games based on my personal thoughts,

    Three Houses > Fire Emblem Blazing Blade > Fire Emblem Binding Blade > Fire Emblem Awakening > Fire Emblem Conquest > Fire Emblem Shadows Of Valentia > Fire Emblem Birthright>>>>>>>>>>>. Fire Emblem Revelations.

    I am currently playing through Path Of Radiance and so far its looking to be my second favouite game so far.
