    Narcian completes more mission succesfully than Hubert and the Death Knight

    So, funny thing I noticed about Hubert and the Death Knight on non-Crimson Flower routes is that they fail in pretty much all of their missions. While Narcian is actually fairly succesful overall.

    Hubert

    Hubert succeds at: killing his father, distracting Byleth for a few seconds, discovers the hiding place of TWSITD and dispatches the nobility who would be against Edelgard's rule (though it's unknown how much he actually does here as TWSITD and El also did a lot of the work.

    However, Hubert also fails to: score a victory at Grounder Field, keep Arianrhod under Empire Control, achieve alliance with Brigid, take down the Knights of Serios at the Battle of Gareg mach and fails to protect the palace gates in Enbarr.

    Death Knight

    It's even funnier when you compare him to the Death Knight who is this scary and mysterious enemy, but he never scores a victory. He at most manages to take some of Flayn's blood, but even so he is defeated 6 times on SS & WV ( Assault at the Rite of Rebirth, Rumors of a Reaper, The Flame in Darkness, The Battle of Gareg Mach, Taking Fort Merceus and The Cahos of War), I'm not counting The face beneath chapter as he losses on purpose in said chapter also not counting the DLC chapter where he appears, but of course he is defeated there too. Along with all of that he fails to keep his cover and is eventually discovered to be the Death Knight which means one less spy in Garreg Mach for Edelgard to use. That's not all, he even helps Byleth in SS and WV as he warns him about the Javelins of Light, so ultimately he is more useful to the good guys than the bad guys. He also almost never follows orders, it's weird Edelgard even keeps him around considering how useless he seems.

    Narcian

    Narcian succeds at: defeating the Lycian League's army (though he had help from both Brunnya and the dragons he still did his part), convinces Erik to betray the League, convinces Legance to stage a rebellion, convinces Arcardo and Roartz to betray King Mordered and even outwits Murdock by pointing out how Zeiss is also quite suspicious

    However, Narcian also fails to: protect multiple valuable castles from Roy, conquer Ostia while it was weakened and sieze Arcadia and take the divine weapon from it. However, he had no way of knowing that Roy ask for the assistance of the Eturian army and attacking Ostian while it was weakened was quite clever of him, so he simply got unlucky.

    As a reminder, Narcian is supposed to ba a funny incompetent villain that only got to his high postition through boot licking. Despite all of that he almost manages to win the war with his schemes and as his stats show he would've defeated Roy's army if he had faced him at chapter 3. Still, Narcian is a coward that constantly blames other for his mistakes, but he actually gets punished for that. His failiures result in Murdock leaving him and making him fight Roy where if he failed he wasn't a worthwile addition to the army anyway. Imagine that, Narcian was considred superflous ot the proud army of Bern despite all of his success, while the other two almost never score a single definitive victory. Narcian also can't teleport wherever and whenever he wants unlike those two, so he has an excuse for not killing the protagonist in their sleep

    Which voice actors do you want to see eventually in the Fire Emblem series?

    The number of voice actors who have contributed to Fire Emblem so far is nice, but there's always room for more. Let's suggest some.

    Here are a few I'd want to see:

    • Grey de Lisle: Who wouldn't want to hear Azula in FE?

    • Nana Mizuki (JP): Bonus points if she's singing. She's so good as Ange in Cross Ange and as Tsubasa from Symphogear.

    • Ronald Banks: He voices Quan Chi in Mortal Kombat, and has an EPIC laugh. He'd be such a good villain voice.

    • Johnny Yong Bosch: He'd be such a good choice for a brash character. Definitely would add him in.

    I'll add more if I think of them. Feel free to suggest your own.

    Revelation Redux Tier List Round 12: Niles, Fuga and Flora

    Welcome to Round 12: Niles, Fuga and Flora

    Each round will last about 24 hours in between each other. Rate the units in each tier, and give clear explanations on why. Feel free to comment on each other and discuss why you agree or disagree. Be polite, and remember, this is all in good fun. After the 24 hours, I will review all the answers and understand what the consensus reached has been, posting the result in the next round. If there is no clear majority, a tally will be made. If a tie ensues, well the round will be extended until a tiebreaker comment appears. At the very end, a hub finalized tier list will be created, with links to each and every one of these rounds, providing full analyses for Revelation units as well as a good solid tier list for the community.

    • How does the unit start, whether considering base value or join map?

    • To what extent will the unit need training or investment to meet a return?

    • To what extent does the return profit, meet at equilibrium, or fall below input?

    • What does a unit contribute? As in, what niches or value do they hold?

    Fantastic Performance: S Almost always very useful, with very few to no flaws. Makes significant contributions that can't really be ignored. They may also provide a valuable niche, or just perform what they do the best.

    Includes: Corrin, Azura, Camilla, Shura, Ryoma, Xander

    Great Performance: A Very useful alotta the time, with a couple minor detriments that don't really hold them back. They may fill a good niche or perform what they do splendidly.

    Includes: Jakob 1, Hayato, Takumi, Reina, Silas, Hinoka, Leo

    Good Performance: B Pretty useful, with some minor detriments that hold them back somewhat. They may fill a niche, but someone might do it better, and they can perform well if given the opportunity.

    Includes: Sakura, Kaze, Gunter, Oboro, Saizo, Orochi, Kagero, Beruka, Laslow, Peri

    AOK Performance: C Can be useful, with detriments that hold them back. They might fill a niche, even if its not useful, and they can perform decently if given the investment.

    Includes: Felicia 1, Subaki, Hinata, Kaden, Keaton, Selena, Setsuna

    Iffy Performance: D Not all that useful, with possible major detriments holding them back. They do not fill any required niches and take more investing than most to perform adequately or not all that solidly.

    At this point, units are no longer recommended by the list.

    Lame Performance: E They absolutely suck. Do to how Revelation works literally anyone is workable. They do not fill any required niches and take far more investing than most to perform adequately or not all that solidly, or just piss poor.

    Meme Performance: F Rank *Hahahaha... man. These guys don't perform worth a damn. They offer nothing that others can't do better, and getting them to the point where they can start contributing requires a mountain of time, resources, and luck. Bottom of the barrel.
