    I'm thinking of drawing clothes for Valla from Fire Emblem Fates.

    I have some ideas of what Vallite clothing would look like. Valla was based on an ancient kingdom in china called Loulan (it was around during the Han Dynasty.) I look up clothes from that time to figure something out. Maybe with some Norse elements since Valla is name after the afterlife from Norse mythology. What do you guys think? Do you guys have some ideas?

    "What happened to Dorcas?" Let's share the fate of that one unit that you didn't bother resetting a map or turning back time to save!

    So I have been playing FE7 Hector Hard Mode after playing through Lyn mode to buff up some guys. Our famed Dorcas was used but only on rare occasion and mostly for chip damage, so by the point of the Merlinus Gaiden chapter 13x he is only around level 5. Given that cash is tight at this point in the game I've got only 3 handaxes which I've placed on Marcus, Hector and Bartre. Leaving Dorcas to be the big meat shield that he is with his iron axe.

    The FoW map is going as well as I can hope, I've got Mathew, Guy, and Rebecca taking on the spawns in the bottom right, Marcus ran off to get the village, the majority of the squad is taking up the middle and making their way to Puzon in the top left. Oswin does most of the work pushing back the enemies to the immediate left and gets a little bit of help from our guy Dorcas. They make their way up to the snag chasing the last bandit in the area and Oswin posts up just on our side of the river waiting for anyone that dares to cross. Not surprisingly a couple enemies do approach and Oswin holds the line, but he doesn't mop them up. I decide to have him finish off the first guy, and let Dorcas get a kill on the one ahead of him. My turn ends with Oswin behind Dorcas, with Dorcas on the the snag having taken as small hit so he's sitting at around 23 HP.

    Now I only try to save state ahead of big money moves, or when I remember at the start of a turn so I can treat it kinda like milas turn wheel or the FE4 save mechanic and not abuse it. Let's just say it had been some time, and Eliwood had finally gotten a good level up.

    So the enemy turn starts and things are going well, Marcus has taken a surprising number of axe hits, I'm worried about Rebecca facing off against some nomads, the usual. When suddenly... out of the fog a red mercenary approached the left snag. Its Puzon, "oh yeah he moves" I think as he starts the fight with Dorcas. Oof 96% chance to hit and that's some meaty damage.. and then, to my surprise Dorcas hits the guy! So, for the briefest moment I'm thinking, "sweet! I'll probably be able to take him out next turn, Lowen is kinda close up top and Oswin can get a hit in or take the kill for sure!" But then Puzon doubles Dorcas. And I watch in silence as Dorcas shares his dying thoughts of his loving wife...

    Then as the enemy turn wraps up and a second mercenary moves to attack Oswin I think, "well... I wasn't gonna use him anyway."

    And that my friends, is what happened to Dorcas.

    So please, I want to hear about the times you guys "let" a unit die on you! A memorial of the fallen, and missed but maybe not that much units!

    Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon Merciless Mode LTC Chapters 15 and 16

    Chapter 15

    Chapter 15 is kinda a joke map. The boss is a generic bishop who is 20 tiles away from the starting position meaning any Dracoknight can reach on turn 2. Minerva reliably ORKO's him and has built up some support with Marth by this point so we use her. Everyone else is just grinding EXP. Maria hits C staves on this map so we no longer need to be spamming Barrier.

    Overall CoS: 89.5%

    Chapter 16

    Chapter 16 is kinda interesting. We have two recruitable characters on opposite sides of the map. As it turns out Marth is one tile short of being able to reach Xane on turn 3 with optimal movement so we need to go left first with him. There aren't really any enemies in the way so he's pretty safe on his walk. The plan is to eventually warp Marth to Xane, convoy warp the warp staff so that a different staff user can warp Marth to the throne. Unfortunately the only droppable on the map nearby is on the boss so we can't get a reliability boost this map against him.

    The main threat on this map are the three Dracoknights at the start and the two heroes in the cell. We can easily take out the Dracoknights with our anti flying units but the heroes need to be dealt with by our stronger weapons. We use the door to the prison cell as a barrier so that Jeorge can attack the heroes over multiple turns while also being able to counter the levin sword hero on EP. Jake has developed support with Caeda, Minerva, and Maria at this point so he tries to say within range of all three of them to ensure he has 100 hit. The boss has a killer weapon but luckily Caeda has so much luck that it's reduced to single digit crit.

    Palla and Barst both hit level 10 this map so we no longer need to train them. We also got a promotion item this chapter to finally promote a second unit.

    Overall CoS: 84.9% (94.1% and 90.2% respectively)

    New Units:

    Xane - Xane is a very interesting unit. He has the ability to copy another unit at the cost of his first turn. The first turn cost is unfortunately quite a problem for him as Shadow Dragon is not a game with a Dancer and he joins very late so there aren't many maps left where he can do much but he does have uses.

    Samson - Better Astram. Samson's bases are pretty nice and unlike Astram he has an Axe rank which is better for a Hero. But like Astram he's really only useful for filler work and there isn't much game left for him to do much. His stats are also noticeably not good enough in the bulk department to do everything we'd like of him.

    Arran - We didn't recruit Arran but we wish we could have. Arran is unique in that he's one of the only two prepromotes in the game with enough base bulk to perform a task we need in C20. This means we could have forgone almost all of the EXP grinding we did in the run if we were able to recruit him. But alas it was not to be as he decided to live in the village that was farther away.
