    Alright I'll bite...WHY do people hate Gilbert again? Is he REALLY that much worse than other horrible parental figures in the franchise?

    Maybe I'm misunderstanding things here, but I hear plenty of people throw absolutely atrocious shade at the guy. From what I know as I'm presently playing Blue Lions, and I haven't gotten the full picture either through the story or supports quite yet, the worst thing he did was...neglect his family? He was a strict and disciplinary man? He's repentant because he never gave the full amount of love and respect he should have?

    Remind me, what was Garon like? Oh yeah, horrible, atrocious, saw his children as nothing but pawns, is implied to discipline them through the most abusive possible means, is willing to kill them for any transgression, and is just all around a mustache twirling madman.

    I really don't get it, so...can someone educate me?

    Edit: Just for clarity, I'm not here to preach that he did nothing wrong, I'm just confused why he gets the extreme reaction that he does.

    Hey! I saw a picture of Claude in a pirate outfit today and I felt like writing a story about him.
    This poem is called The Goodship "von Riegan". It takes place in a alternate universe where Fodlan is an ocean and the characters are pirates.

    This poem is set in an alternate universe, but contains minor spoilers for character relationships in Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

    ​

    THE GOODSHIP "VON RIEGAN"

    If you put down your tankards you'll hear me regale
    The adventures and antics of a nautical tale
    With excitement aplenty for all those aboard
    The goodship von Riegan with the man they call Claude

    A most able sailor and captain was he
    So say any that voyage 'pon Fodlan's great sea
    And the goodship von Riegan so ever did sail
    In the thick of the fight and the heart of the gale

    From the Kingdom of Faerghus arrives the blue fleet
    To the Isle of Garreg, where the three waters meet
    Commodore Dimitri puts the glass to his eye
    And the goodship von Riegan's gold topsails espy

    In the flash of engagement the cannonballs flew
    Shiver'd banners all streaming in gold and in blue
    On the goodship von Riegan the captain did call
    "Yon red sails to the south bring ill tidings to all"

    When the dread pirate Hresvelg declared open war
    A shaky allegiance the two captains swore
    On the rudders they laboured and brought them abreast
    And together against yonder crimson sails pressed

    In their swords were the antlers the golden hart bore
    In their guns and their cannons, the blue lion's roar
    The dread pirate's spread wings they fought fiercely between
    In the wake of destruction a fiery emblem was seen

    So I come to the end of my nautical tale
    Though it's said that all three of those captains still sail
    So no matter your pick in the legend'ry wars
    The goodship von Riegan's future is yours!
