    An FE ROM hack, "Midnight Sun", becomes a full-fledged indie game

    Hello Reddit! Some of you may already know a Fire Emblem ROM hack called Midnight Sun. Despite its initial success, the project was canceled in 2017.

    I'm happy to announce that it's now become a full-fledged indie game which features: (1) RPG gameplay that interacts with VN elements; (2) Meaningful choices that shape your characters' personality, "Sanity" stat, and story; (3) Live2D animations; (4) Fully Orchestrated OST; (5) Professional VAs; (6) Art style similar to Hidari's.

    The Last member of House Nuvelle: Yuri.

    In the monastery's library you can find a book discussing the noble houses of the empire, with most of them being families of the black eagles and other important characters.

    However there is one house that is only mentioned in the library and that house would by House Nuvelle which was wiped out in the Dagda and Brigid War the same war where Petra's father was killed and where the head of Monica's house was killed.

    Now there are five crests that are lost to history, one of them being the crest of Aubin the ice dragon. This would explain why the crest is considered lost to history.

    I think Aubin might be the dragon who isolated himself from the other children of the goddess possibly relocating himself in Albinea a frozen wasteland only mentioned in the library. Aubin might have been one of the henchman of Nemesis but either way his crest ended up in possession of House Nuvelle. I believe that DLC Character 1 or Yuri is the last member of House Nuvelle.

    Yuri has unique dialogue with Bernadetta and a character who could either be Edelgard or Ferdinand he seems to be proud of noble lineage like Ferdinand and scary like Hubert. Yuri also probably hates the people of Brigid and Dagda so he probably has supports with Petra and Shamir. Yuri is obviously a black eagle student though I wonder if he will be recruitable or locked to one black eagle route.

    I think Yuri's paralogue will involve him finding the relic of aubin which according to the leaks seems to be an item like the relic of Lamine. Yuri has strengths in both magic types,authority and swords and seems to be a natural fit for the trickster class. However there's one interesting detail about Yuri and that is that he has a Major Crest. I'm wondering if that's the reason he got into the monastery as he seems to start out as a commoner.

    For the people who used the characters that are typically unused, what are some surprised details about their character or abilities you like?

    I'm gonna assume that like me, a lot of you consistently used the student characters over the monastery characters in battle. Thus didn't develop their supports or skills as much. I'm referring to characters like Manuela, Hanneman, Catherine, Shamir, Cyril, Gilbert, etc. Characters that you could essentially recruit for free or were automatically given.

    Anyways, for those of you who did use these characters, what pleasantly surprised you about them? What are their best qualities and supports? What are their best endings? What are their strengths and best classes?

    I'm happy he got one with Mercedes and the avatar but I think he should have at least around 10 supports. I think of the blue lions he should have supports with Felix where Felix could try to fight him and Annette where they could discuss Mercedes and there love of sweets. Jeritza should have a conversation with Edelgard detailing his backstory and at least a b-support with both Caspar and Hubert, and of course he should have supports with Manuela.

    And a support with Lysithea where she bullies him would be funny.

    Manuela needs more attention!

    Ok so I just want to make a general post on how Manuela is seriously underrated. I used her in my silver snow playthrough (bc I wanted to use all the characters I had not used before) and I was surprised by how good of a unit she was. Think what you will about about her character, but in battle, she can be a monster. The key to using her effectively is that you need to recognize that she is a a well rounded support, attack, and utility unit. She gains access to spells like ward and warp, very useful utility spells which have a wide variety of uses. Ward is extremely useful late game, when enemy magic users are insane. Warp is then useful for all the obvious reasons. While she does have a weakness in reason, if you devote time towards that skill, Manuela becomes a monster! She gains access to bolting at A rank, while it may take some time, Bolting is always a great spell to have. She has decent strength, speed and magic. Her strength means she won't be slowed down by heavier spells and her speed and magic in addition to this means the can easily double most units and potentially one shot them. Starting as a priest, Manuela acts as a good healer, but not great, which I believe is why she is such a big turn off for many people. Be sure to utilize her other strengths outside of being a healer, and she will excel! Additionally, Manuela was almost essential for a lot of Death Knight maps, where her personal skill helped lower his high crit rate so that Byleth could survive a hit without dying. Side note, she gains access to the cobalt art hex blade, which deals damage based on magic, so you essentially add her medium range magic and strength to deal an insane amount of damage. Conclusively, Manuela deserves a second chance. She is an absolute essential unit for me now, and I'm glad I took the time to use her. I grew to like her character as her supports developed, and I firmly believe more people should use her. Anyway, this is just my opinion of her so think what you will!
