Everyone Plays Fire Emblem - Week of May 7th, 2021 Posted: 07 May 2021 04:36 PM PDT Welcome to the next installment of EPFE! This is a casual space for discussing any ongoing Fire Emblem (or related games) playthroughs. Screenshots, impressions, frustrations... gameplay stuff that would otherwise be removed as a standalone post under Rule 8 can be shared here. While you can of course ask for advice here, specific questions might get faster responses in the General Question Thread here. As always, remember to tag your spoilers, and have fun! Last week's thread can be found here. [link] [comments] | ||

What are the hard modes that seem like an afterthought to you? Posted: 07 May 2021 01:10 PM PDT Basically any harder modes that make you say "oh they didn't really check this did they?". This doesn't necessarily mean unbalanced or poorly designed modes. My list would be: -Binding Blade hard mode because of recruitable enemy units getting hard mode bonuses. If you don't know, because of a bug, any recruitable enemy that appears after turn 1 will get the bonuses that the enemy gets in hard mode. The reason I say it's an afterthought is because this bug is noticeable since chapter 4 with Rutger so it could've been fixed. That said, I wish these bonuses come back in future games in order to make more units viable or at least make them less pathetic cought Fe12 RL Astram cought -Shadow Dragon H5, at least some times. The first 3 bossses are complete luck and Medeus doesn't give anyone a chance to survive one round of combat. There's also some minor stuff like enemies in ch1 having a constant 1% crit chance on Jagen -Path of Radiance Maniac Mode. This one falls into the poorly designed category. It just makes enemies way too bulky and cuts exp gain. The maps are just Titania kills 90% of the enemies while your other units barely survive a round of combat. It's just a slog and I'm glad it's japan exclusive. -Awakening Lunatic+. "Yeah let's just give enemies broken ass skills starting from chapter 1 that's what hard means right?" [link] [comments] |
