    Shadows of Valentia Discussion Series - Mae: Bundle of Energy

    Today, we are discussing Mae.

    Mae is a playable character in Shadows of Valentia.

    A young yet skilled mage, Mae joins Celica's group not only to watch out for her, but also to keep an eye on Boey, who has sworn to protect Celica despite the fact his skill is quite lacking compared to his eagerness. Despite being Celica's servant, the two are close freinds.

    When the Mila Temple is seized, Celica will promote and don the Zofian Circlet. Mae remarks on how beautiful Celica looks, however, Boey calls her an "idiot" for not using the correct name, Anthiese, as Celica has just assumed her heritage and is now displaying it publicly. Celica assures Boey by telling him she prefers to be addressed by Celica.

    When Celica's party reaches Duma Tower, despite trying to convince Celica not to surrender herself to Jedah because he wants to turn her into a mindless witch, he teleports Mae and the rest of Celica's group into the catacombs of the Duma Temple, where they are attacked by Terrors.

    After Celica is revived and rescueed, Mae, along with the rest of Celica's group, meets up with Celica again, much to Mae's relief, and she tells her that they ended up at the same location as the other group because she heard a voice and followed it.

    After the war, Mae continues to work with Boey at the church of Zofia. In the remake, the two are also eventually wed and bore children, though their feuding never ceased.

    (spoilers) if the remake of FE4 actually happened, do you think that IS would have the guts to do the battle of belhalla again?(keep it unchanged).

    for the people that doesnt know what is the battle of belhalla long story short, arvis betrays sigurd and kills him and the mayority of his army dies alongside him.

    i was surprised that this actually happened, apart from 2 dudes the entire army of sigurd, the units with which i played for around 30 hours were gone, just like that, i wasnt mad about it, i was surprised that thats how the second gen starts (i knew that the game had second gen, which i didnt knew is how it or when it happens.

    right now bonding with the units its a big part of FE, getting to the point of directly discouraging you of leaving anyone death, do you think that IS will do the battle of belhalla exactly like they did on the original FE4 or they will change stuff about it?

    What would you hope, expect, and hate to see for a Genealogy remake?

    It's been going around here for a while that the most likely next game will be a remake of FE4. Now, that comes with it's own qualities that have been shown in other remakes So, I'd like to ask: What do you hope, expect, and hate to see in this remake?

    Here's what I expect:

    • New characters(Completely new and/or Thracia 776 immigrants)

    • Weapons balancing

    • Obvious improvements(Art, music, etc.)

    • Supports

    Here's what I hope:

    • Characters like Saias, Mareeta, and Eyvel to return

    • Kaga's what-if scenario to be explored

    • More axe units and classes

    • Bows closer to SoV's version of them

    • New classes (Hopefully completely new ones)

    • Promotion method staying the same

    • Hidari being the artist

    What I'd hate to see is:

    • An Avatar

    • Recruitable Ishtar or Eldigan

    • Maps being too much like the original
