Posted: 21 Oct 2021 04:30 PM PDT I've had a a few thoughts. What do you think? Even if it were possible would the people of Ylise have allowed Chrom to marry Panne? I think it best to point you that just because the people of Ylise have hated Plegians for at least 25 to 30 years doesn't mean that they didn't always hate them more then they once hated The Taguel 1 reason that its possible that the people of Ylise once hated Plegians more then they did The Taguel is because we don't know how long Taguel live for or how old Panne is Another reason is because Taguel are both very similiar and very different to Manaketes I'd estimate that Taguel live for at least 400 Human Years and I'd guess that to A Taguel 400 years is roughly the same as at least 80 years Panne is still young enough to have a child, or 2 if she marries The Avatar, and she's also young enough to be very fast but she's old enough to have quite a lot of strength, endurance and physical power, so I'd put her age in the high end of early middle age, which because she's Taguel I'd guess means she's lived for around 216 years old and I'd guess that to A Taguel that's roughly just over 43 years old So with Panne being around 216 years old and every other member of her race being murdered when she was A Infant I'd guess every member of her race has been dead for at least 214.6 years Bearing all that in mind means that with every other member of her race having been murdered roughly 223.6 years means that the people of Ylise have had roughly 187 to 189 years in which to hate Plegians more then they ever hated The Taguel [link] [comments]

My thoughts on Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon (SPOILERS) Posted: 21 Oct 2021 06:48 PM PDT Last night I finished my first playthrough of Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon on Hard 1 and it has become one of my favourite games, along with Geneology and Three Houses. I wanted to share my thoughts on it though, because there were lots of aspects I didn't enjoy or found tedious, and I wanted to know peoples opinions on it. My opinion of the game is being taken from a single playythrough on Hard 1 so it may be quite different from people who have played multiple times on Hard 5 for example and i'm curious what kind of difference there will be. Despite it being my first playthrough I wasn't fully playing it blind and did know some secrets like 2 of the secret shops (Chapter's 17 and 21, I only learned of the other 2 AFTER I had spent all my money on the chapter 21 stat boosters). One thing I had heard alot was that Shadow Dragon's worst portion was it's first few chapters and after that it improves. I actually felt like the opposite was true. The first 7ish chapters were really good, and some of my favourite Fire Emblem chapters I've played, and after that it didn't seem as interesting or suspenseful and felt easier. The game was still hard but it didn't feel as difficult to come up with ways to handle situations. This could be because both my Caeda and Draug became good enough to handle alot of enemies by themselves (Or in Draugs case, at least survive them, and made luring enemies in easier.) This is also likely because of the difference between Hard 1 and Hard 5, since I'd guess in Hard 5 the first chapters feel insanely more difficulty and Gomer and Hyman were on Mekkah's top 10 worst bosses but what do you guys think about the difficulty progession of Shadow Dragon? A large problem I had with Shadow Dragon was same turn reinforcements, and while they were better than in 3H maddening for example, since most of the time they came from forts or stairs allowing you to guess where they're coming from, it is still an annoying feature in my opinion. I really struggled with Chapter 7 because of this, though that's less about STR as a whole and more that this is the first chapter that really introduced them and I didn't know how to prepare or handle them yet. Even though in other chapters I knew where they were going to come from they still felt tedious, and at some points didn't make the map harder, they just made it longer. What are your opinions on STR in Shadow Dragon? But onto the main thing that caused me to want to write my thoughts about the game, the final chapter. In my opinion the final chapter as a whole is a culmination of everything I disliked about Shadow Dragon. Same turn reinforcements (And so many of them it was hard to remember where they would all come from, always on the defensive and it's almost necessary to turtle. It wasn't that the map was difficult, it felt needlessly tedious and that made it fairly unfun to play. I am unsure as to whether that problem is with the chapter itself, or with how I play and it could very well be that I simply played the map poorly and wasn't capable of overcoming the tedium in an effective way. If fact I struggled with the final boss as well, since my 3 units that could deal reliable damge to him (Marth with the Falcion, Caeda and Tiki) would all die after 2 rounds of combat, so I needed to stand next to him and let him attack on enemy phase, however the amount of damage he would recieve would just be healed by the time the next character was able to attack. The only reason I ended up killing him was because Tiki got a lucky critical hit but that didn't feel like I won through strategy which didn't feel as rewarding. I'm curious as to what your opinions are on the final chapter and if there are effective ways to help alleviate the tedium that I didn't notice or what your strategy was for killing Medeus? I know there are cheese strats like warping in Tiki to attack Medeus and then reviving her using the Aum staff and warping her in again but I wanted to complete it somewhat normally, though I might use a strategy like that though if I replay on a higher difficulty, especially Hard 5. These were the main units I used and how they looked after the Final Chapter. In the Final Chapter specifically I used all of these except for Abel and Jagen, speaking of which I feel like I used Jagen for way too long. I used him up until around Chapter 21 which I felt was way too long, since unlike Seth or Frederick he doesn't have high enough bases or growths to sustain himself for that long but I couldn't really see any other units that I weren't using being as good as him. I tried Midia and Arran for a bit after recruiting them but they felt to weak to participate. [link] [comments]
