    What character do you always find yourself defending the most?

    There are a lot of characters in the series who get judged a bit unfairly. There many characters who make a choice that helps the villain but often people don't think why they did it. For example I really like Eirika but people constantly think her actions are dumb because she gives the stone to Lyon despite the fact that's it's being an understanding decision given that Lyon helps her in her route and have no reason to believe her brother.

    is the confusing mess that is class names. While I'm mostly joking, I do think it's problematic and definitely caused me issues when playing. Let's go through a few:

    • Mercenary

    The biggest offender by far is Mercenary. Byleth is the epitome of this. They are in a mercenary group, and have been in one their whole lives. They specialize in swords, and have a high sword rank. And they teach, meaning they should be in a higher class tier than their students. But no, they're not a Mercenary. They're a Commoner.

    And this isn't exclusive to 3H. What makes Shanna any less of a mercenary than Dieck? Or what about Hugh, who makes you pay him to fight, and fights worse depending on how much money you pay him? And what makes Laslow/Severa mercenaries in Fates? They are retainers to the Prince/Princess of Nohr, the furthest possible thing from a mercenary.

    The only exception to this is FE1, where the only mercenaries were Navarre and Ogma (actual sell-swords). And their promotion to Hero was a mini-arc showing they found something better than money to fight for.

    • Knight

    Nothing was more confusing for me as a kid when playing FE7, and Kent and Sain talked about being knights of Caelin. And then Wallace, an actual Knight, pops up. I couldn't wrap my mind around how Kent wanting to be a "true knight" also meant being a 4 move foot-locked, lance-locked unit with poor speed. And then Wallace was force-promoted, becoming a General. Does this make him no longer a knight of Caelin? And this extends to any class with 'knight' in the name. What makes Farina a Pegasus Knight? Or Ashe talking about being a knight all the time, but also specializing in bows?

    • Lord

    The last issue is the Lord class. This is mostly just Wyvern Lord, but I don't think you should call yourself a "Lord" unless killing you is a Game Over condition.

    I'm sure there are other problematic class lines I'm forgetting, but it's undeniable Fire Emblem has a naming problem. I hope IS wises up and makes the proper amends.

    I got tired of running around aimlessly so i decided i might as well ask. Supports are not just triggered at will for Byleth. Some are during the calendar scene and some are triggered in the monastery. I was wondering are these triggered randomly? Again im just running around waiting for ppl to want ti chat.

    What would you guys think of a more futuristic game?

    I was just thinking, the golems in FE3H already seemed very robotic so what if we had a futuristic Fire Emblem game? Maybe more lasery swords, mechanized wyvern that rider would be on, generals that were more like the GBA versions as kinda moved robotic like. Idk. I don't even think it's that good of an idea to be honest. Just wanna know what you think.
