    Basically, for those unaware, AGDQ is a massive Speedrunning event that happens twice a year, and 3 Houses is scheduled to be run as a part of this years event!, and AGDQ itself is live right now on twitch if you want to check it out.

    It is currently scheduled to be run this Thursday January 9th at 10:03 PM EST, Runner is Claris with commentary from Chris from Florida. (Yes, that is his name.) They will also be having a bidding war to determine which house the runner plays through.

    Why FE Warriors is my favorite Warriors game

    There are quite a few Warriors games now on the Switch - Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends, Warriors Orochi 4, Hyrule Warriors, that One Piece Pirate Warriors 3, Fate/EXTELLA and EXTELLA Link (though I think they are only Warriors-inspired, not official), and of course, Fire Emblem Warriors. (It's also available on the New 3DS, but I haven't played it there)

    I love FEW, it's easily my favorite Warriors game by far, and it's not even about the Fire Emblem part (It was the first FE game I've ever played, and it's not even a FE game, it's a Warriors game - I've since played through every game starting with 7 and skipping New Mystery), for quite a few reasons.

    Gameplay is really crisp and responsive (and most importantly, fun). The game is fast - you can run from place to place quite easily, and the fact that minions die in one hit makes it much more fun to chow through them on the way to the actual targets. The map actually makes sense and is easy to grasp.

    But the things that make the game unique is that I can give commands to the other (up to 7) characters, including stuff like "Heal that other character" - it's the one feature I miss from other games. In fact, the whole Map screen is awesome, feels like they wanted to move the deployment mechanic over from FE. Pairing up with another character for an extra block or extra attack is neat, and so is the ability to carry an item. The combat (with the white/yellow staggering gauge) is much more fluid and just fun than other games.

    The out-of-game stuff is also nice - the skill trees with unlockables based on item drops, the support system (even if not very deep) is cute, changing weapon attributes (and having weapons require a skill to be unlocked) and getting temple blessings is neat.

    Yeah, the characters can be a bit same-y and really only account for a few games (Mainly Awakening and Fates, with some other sprinkled in). But there's enough variety here, and all the different styles play well (and yes, Camilla, Lyn and Navarre are god tier).

    The story isn't very complex, but definitely feels like a Fire Emblem story (including tragic stuff). And the History Mode has some cute takes on the older games story.

    My main issue with FEW is that there isn't more of it (well, that and the Arena battles having to play out all dialogue before continuing), and if there's any game I really want from Nintendo, it's... actually Xenoblade X on the Switch. But after that, a FEW sequel would be a day 1 pre-order from me.
