    What's your favorite minor character in each game?

    By minor character I mean one that doesn't feature prominently in the story or at all - you know, one of those character you recruit and then the game promptly forgets their exist (which can be anyone except for the main lords, depending on the game, honestly.)

    This is inspired by my friend, who absolutely loves Serra, lol.

    I'll go in the order I played them:

    Awakening: Libra, because pretty boy with a sad backstory who will nonetheless CRUSH your enemies if you want him to

    Fates: There are SO many characters it's hard to pick, but Izana, I suppose? Though he does appear in the story, but it's only one chapter and most of the chapter it's not even actually him. His support with Corrin is surprisingly nice, though it's a shame we don't get more story on him other than "the laid-back ruler of Izumo." Lost potential as with almost everything in Fates lmao

    FE7: Lucius, because uhhh... I have a type, I guess? Helps that he absolutely wrecked shit in my playthrough. I think I actually used him to kill the final boss, lol.

    FE8: Knoll. Shame he's so terrible in battle. I still tried to make him work nonetheless, lol. And since Lyon (points to flair) is, well, the bad guy, Knoll is the best I can get as far as playable characters go (I know you can get playable Lyon in the postgame mode, but that's not quite the same.)

    3H: This one is kinda weird, because all students appear in cutscenes, so they're all "major characters" in my head, even though some obviously have a more prominent role than others. Honestly, this game is really good at making it feel like all the characters exist in the world, and don't just get sent to the shadow realm, never to be mentioned again as soon as you recruit them. I guess I'll go with Jeritza in this one, since he's just a minor boss with little plot relevance, and can only be recruited in one route.

    PoR: I don't think I've met all the characters in the game yet, but probably Zihark. He's got an interesting backstory regarding beorc and laguz, and yet he barely features even in base conversations - for shame. And of course Jill, the fan-favorite, but there are so many conversations involving her she feels like a pretty major player, honestly.

    And those are my picks for all the games I've played so far. What are yours?
