    Has your opinion of your first Fire Emblem game changed as you played more of the series?

    My first game was Three Houses, and I loved it. It became my most played Switch game. Because I liked it so much, I of course wanted to play more of the series, and since then, I've played everything starting with FE6 except the DS games, Revelation, and Radiant Dawn, which I've only just started.

    My opinion on 3H has gone down a lot since then. The monastery gets to be too tedious, I don't like the open class system because everyone wants to be in the same few classes for the most part, and the game is fun to play, but not as much as other games. I like it as a game, but not really a Fire Emblem game. And I'd have to rank it towards the bottom of the games I've played, although I think there's a few that are worse.

    So, what about you? Is your first game still your favorite, or did you not like it as much as another you tried later on?

    Who are your favourite (canon or non-)pairings/couples in FE and why?

    If there's something I love about Fire Emblem it is the supports and the often romantic interactions and pairings that come from it. In terms of canon I adore Alm and Celica and (to a lesser extent) Gerik and Tethys. I also love hearing other people's favourite couples as people often have pairings they adore.

    I gotta be honest here I don't like them. They take away from the characters with an actual personality and they just pander to certain people imo. I also think I get more invested in the games without them. Just my thoughts. I'm curious what other people think though. I'm not gonna downvote you if you disagree so please be honest.

    Fanfiction idea for adoption

    Hello, I'm basically advertising for a fanfic idea of mine that could be good. I'm doing this because I can't really create a good story and I would lose interest pretty quickly, so here is the summary...

    Plot bunny/Writing Prompt:

    Fandom: Fire Emblem Three Houses.

    Title: the Union of Ulysyara.

    After the Agarthan Nabatean war, the Agarthans are split between two factions. The peacemakers (who will become the Union) and the warmongers (who will later become Those Who Slither in the Dark) and in constant tension with each other, but ultimately the majority of Agarthans are in favour of the warmongers who want revenge against the Nabateans. Seeing the threat that could threaten Fodlan the Agarthan peacemakers made a raid against the warmongers and stole their technology to prevent them from advancing further, though they're unsuccessful as they created the hero relics and the sword of the creator. Ashamed of the Agarthans who are now corrupt, the Agarthan peacemakers left to find new land for themselves as they fear of persecution.

    After 500 years the provinces united into the Union of Ulysyara after the continent. They're very advanced and almost equal to Those Who Slither in the Dark.

    This is the history of the Union, essentially they're like the counter of Those Who Slither in the Dark and they're very guilty about their past as it wasn't right to kill the Nabateans outright and seek to form peace between the Church (although they don't trust them), Fodlan, and the Union. They know what Shambhala is capable of, but they couldn't act because it could reveal their civilization after a quietly intense arms race against Those Who Slither in the Dark, they almost revealed their civilization after an international incident because of the arms race.

    The Story:

    OC is a successor to the duke of (last name), he or she is disguised as a commoner and spies on the houses to give intel back to the Union. He or she interacts with many students (you can also add some romance if you want) and goes through missions as well, the same for many students. This is like a get-to-know student's arc as well as finding how much Those Who Slither in the Dark has influence in the region.

    The character can also go back to the Union to see parents, as well mission report. Though some characters (mainly, Edelgard, Claude, Hubert, Dedue, Dorothea) are suspicious about the character's true intentions and why the character always leaves the monastery.

    At some point in the story, Claude and Dorothea see the character leaving, but they stopped the character from leaving but persuaded that you don't understand the full conflict and proceed to leave.

    There could a special chapter where Edelgard, Claude, Hubert, Dorothea, and Hilda decide to get after the character to find what his true intentions are. Eventually, they found the character leaving in a metal ship and they persuade the character about why he/she's always leaving, he doesn't answer the question. Instead, he decides to let them come into the ship and see where the character comes from. They realize that the character is a royal hailing from the Union of Ulysyaras, as well as discovering that they're in conflict with Those Who Slither in the Dark, the character also know who Edelgard really is and reveals the history of Fodlan and the Union as well.

    Eventually after the encounter, a few months later the Union decided to reveal themselves to the church with the character as the diplomat in his duke outfit.

    After that, the rest is up to you. Part 2 is your sandbox at that point, of course, you can alter as long as it's consistent.
